Small pads — the basics

Small pads are roughly the size of a sheet of paper (NovaPad small pads are 24 × 20 cm). They are ideal for laptops, compact desks, and anyone who mostly uses a trackpad and wants a pad only for the mouse. They are also the most affordable — NovaPad small pads start at ₹199.

XL and XXL desk mats — the full-setup option

An XL desk mat (extended mouse pad) sits under both your keyboard and mouse, creating one continuous surface. This is the most popular choice for gaming, coding, design and study desks because it looks clean, protects the whole desk, and gives the mouse unlimited room.

In the NovaPad catalog, standard XL desk mats measure about 23 × 11.5 inches (≈ 584 × 292 mm) at 3 mm thickness. The NovaPad X1 Pro RGB is the largest at 800 × 300 mm and 4 mm thick.

How to measure your desk

Measure the width of your desk surface, then subtract a couple of inches of breathing room at each edge. If your desk is at least 60 cm (24 in) wide, an XL desk mat will fit with room to spare. For desks narrower than that, a small or medium pad is the safer choice.

The keyboard and mouse together typically need about 70–80 cm of width — which is exactly why 800 × 300 mm has become the standard extended pad size.
